Art lovers who have been blessed to see the talent that Melissa Noelle Green exudes, are often in awe with her creative vocals and enthralling delivery. Her debut book of poetry " My Soul Says Yes" was released in the year 2000. Melissa was introduced to artistic creativity through her stepfather who gave her independent study in music, vocals, and art. While growing up as a teenager. Melissa has performed in several theatrical productions including the MAAFA, The First Black Sci-Fi Festival and Moon on a Rainbow Shawl. She has made appearances at Bumbershoot, The Folklife Festival, and several literary events in New York, and California. Her work has been featured in NW on stage, Rhapsody, Colors NW, and Black Book News.

Their mission is "to provide professional training and performance opportunities in the art of dance to young people of all backgrounds" and "to offer the highest quality of ballet performances to the people of the south King and north Pierce county region." |

Northwest Tap Connection is a Seattle based company composed of dancers between the ages of 14 to 19. The mission of Northwest Tap Connection is "to preserve and promote Rhythm Tap Dance through education and performances." These young artists have danced with tap legends such as the Nicholas Brothers, the late Buster Brown, Savion Glover, the late Gregory Hines, Jeni LeGon and Jimmy Slyde. The company’s repertoire includes choreography by nationally acclaimed Diane Walker, Lane Alexander and Chester Whitmore." |

Voted the 1992 Earshot Jazz "Musician of the Year", Clarence Acox directs the award-winning Garfield High School jazz ensemble and is among Seattle's busiest drummers. A native of New Orleans, he graduated from Southern University and recently received national recognition as the 2002 recipient of the Educator of the Year Award from Downbeat Magazine. His own sextet has won numerous awards for its CD recordings "Joanna's Dance" and "Indigenous Groove". Acox can be heard as a regular member of the Floyd Standifer Group. He also serves annually as a faculty artist for the renowned Bud Shank/Centrum Jazz Workshop.
